I’ve been programming in one form or another since I was in 5th grade.

I checked out a book from the elementary school library and taught myself Apple Basic.

Now in 2024 that means I’ve been coding across 5 decades.

But I’ve always felt programming came harder to me than to other folks.

It wasn’t until I learned how much unit testing, compilers, IDEs, static analysis, and CICD can help catch my ADHD shortcomings as a developer that I really started to enjoy it.
